Lyric Diction
Do you know how an English ‘t’ differs from an Italian one? Did you know that in French a syllable that generally sounds with the vowel è [ɛ] must sometimes be pronounced with a vowel more like é [e], and do you know when?
I give both group and individual coaching sessions in lyric diction in which I work on:
Knowledge and understanding of phonetics based on the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)
Technical articulation which leads to the correct pronunciation of any sound that must be sung
Methodology for thorough translating, learning from memory more easiliy and achieving a convincing interpretation.
In individual coaching sessions you can work on specific repertoire, e.g. in preparation for a (graduation) recital, or learn a technique for working with repertoire in other than the ‘standard’ languages.
